Things I’ve built to test the ideas out.
Alongside strategy and roadmaps, I like getting hands-on and shipping small, working tools — partly to stay sharp on what’s actually possible, partly because a working prototype makes a better argument than a slide ever could. A couple of the things I’ve been building below.
Aveo Payment Options Calculator
LiveA calculator for comparing Aveo's retirement village payment plans on an apples-to-apples basis: pay the full amount upfront, or pay less upfront and invest the difference. It models both paths over time, so you can see whether the investment returns on the money you'd otherwise hand over outweigh the extra ongoing or deferred fees that come with the lower upfront option.
- Compares upfront payment vs. reduced-upfront-plus-invest-the-difference scenarios
- Accounts for deferred management fees and assumed investment return
- Built to make the actual financial trade-off visible, not just the sticker price
MedShift
In progressA timezone-aware medication planner for travelers on a regular dosing schedule. Enter your home and destination timezones, travel dates, and medications, and MedShift builds an adjusted dosing schedule for the trip, rather than leaving you to work out departure time vs. arrival time math on your own. Still early — there's more planned here.
- Three adjustment strategies: gradual shift, travel-day shift, or arrive-and-adapt
- Handles multiple medications with different frequencies at once
- Includes a clear medical disclaimer — scheduling guidance only, not a substitute for advice from a doctor or pharmacist
